Devin is a rising junior who has a tremendous upside. One of the Top Juniors in the Tri-State metropolitan area. He's a dominate scorer inside and outside, at the SG/SF position averaging 20ppg as a Junior. He's definitely a leader for the Poughkeepsie HS Pioneers Varsity basketball team as he just achieved a career-high 28 points and does well academically. He's also receiving interest already from Division 1 colleges.

The Black Power Salute That Changed Everything At The 1968 Olympics (Black History Month)

Today we are highlighting some bad brothers (as in dope), Tommie Smith and John Carlos.

The 1968 Olympics Games proved to be a memorable one for two reasons. Tommie Smith (centered in the picture above) took first place in the 200 meter race with a time of 19.83 seconds and John Carlos (pictured right) took third place with a time of 20.10 seconds which signified a major accomplishment for americans and moreso black americans. but the action that stole the show was when Smith and Carlos went to accept their medals they were pictured with their right fist raised wearing black gloves to bring awareness to the racial injustices against black americans occuring in the United States. This was heavily criticized by many as it was seen as airing America's dirty laundry on a international platform. We at Better Baller see it as dope as hell that they took a powerful political stance for what they believed in. It forced others to remove their blinders and see the real deal. For that they will go down in history for being brave enough to show out when others wouldn't.

Future Baller of the Day: Shaquille Lewis (Future Baller)

The moment I saw this kid I knew he was by far one of the best undiscovered basketball talents in the NYC tri-state area. Shaquille Lewis is a 16 year old up and coming junior from the Bronx. Very strong offensive player. Can score the basketball really well on perimeter and is very explosive around the basket. Very athletic and plays tenacious defensive at all times. Out of New Day Academy HS in the Bronx NY. He has a tremendous upside and is putting New Day HS on the map. Everybody says they have talent but how many can actually show us??? check the vid and see exactly why Better Baller is claiming this kid as the next NBA beast!
